Company Kinetics in-house team includes Ron MacEachran and Fiona MacEachran.
Ron has over 30 years’ experience of business through roles as a Senior Management Consultant with KPMG advising a range of private and public sector clients, as COO/CFO of a major £190m turnover international spirits group and as CFO of a £20m renewable energy start-up. This experience, allied to working with serial entrepreneurs, business leaders, highly skilled specialists in a range of business disciplines, customers, suppliers, leading business advisers, funders and other stakeholders, has provided Ron with an unusual breadth and depth of business knowledge encompassing different ownership structures, business models, sector challenges and cultures.
More recently, Ron has advised or mentored Managing Directors through the challenges of change and restructuring and, in the case of the newly opened Isle of Harris Distillers, as Lead Adviser and Chairman of the Steering Group, he has led the raising of a £12.0m funding package and the delivery of the project to commissioning stage, maintaining involvement as adviser, Non-Executive Director and investor.
Fiona is a creative and commercially focused marketing & sales professional. She is driven by a desire to see organisations make the best of their attributes through good processes and use of consumer and market insights to enable smart planning, differentiation & diversification. Having completed her Honours Degree in Marketing from Strathclyde University’s Business School, Fiona worked in the Tech Industry for major blue chip organisation SUN Microsystems’ Marketing & Business Development team during the ‘tech boom’, before joining a major International spirits FMCG, where she worked in Marketing (NPD, Brand & Customer Marketing), Sales and Commercial Operations including pivotal roles as liaison between Marketing, Production and Sales. She has, therefore, hard earned experience of the different objectives and operations of these key business functions – the core of many organisations’ operating environments and, often, the crucible of their operating tension – and the commercial realities of launching new products, managing routes to market and marketing/sales agency relationships. Having operated as a keen and successful ‘internal consultant’ she has now diversified into helping other businesses maximise their potential with a dual approach of strategic development and operational execution.
